Wareham Select Board approves seasonal licenses and reappoints town counsel. The five-member board unanimously renewed seasonal liquor and restaurant licenses for Project Half Shell, Inc., d/b/a Quahog Republic, and NAP Liquors Corp., d/b/a The Jug Shop, with Board Member Marcus Gomes abstaining on Cartland of Cape Cod matters. Attorney Richard Bowen was unanimously reappointed Town Counsel for one year; Bowen has served the town for over 38 years and maintains licenses to practice before state and federal courts.
The board also unanimously backed allocation of 20 SRPEDD technical hours toward finalizing the Open Space and Recreation Plan, and authorized Chair Whiteside to draft a letter of support for the town's Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan, which targets full nitrogen compliance by 2041-2045.
