Wareham Select Board approves seven FY26 year-end budget transfers

Wareham Select Board unanimously approves seven FY26 year-end municipal relief transfers. Chair Sarah Corbitt, Clerk Judith Whiteside, and members Jared Chadwick and Marcus Gomes voted 4-0 on transfers presented by Derek Sullivan, moving $4,200 into assessing salaries, $1,800 into personnel services, $3,300 into inspection salaries, $3,200 into natural resources for animal boarding, and $3,100 into FICA, a payroll-tax line Sullivan said has "traditionally" run $10,000 to $15,000 short. Sullivan said the transfers require joint approval from the Select Board and Finance Committee, noting, "we cannot unilaterally do them." Members Joseph Still and Richard Bowen were excused.

The board also voted 4-0 to adjourn after confirming no other business was pending.
