Select Board grants 12 Knots restaurant two entertainment licenses
Select Board · Meeting of July 7, 2026
Wareham Select Board grants entertainment license to newly opened restaurant on its soft-opening day. The board unanimously approved weekday and Sunday public entertainment licenses for MDD Hospitality II Inc., doing business as 12 Knots, at 3138 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham, after a representative said music would be "background" and rarely run past 10 p.m. Members also appointed Amanda Knee to the Community Events Committee and, on a 4-0-1 vote with Clerk Judith Whiteside abstaining, appointed board member Joseph Still to the South Coast Bikeway Alliance.
The board accepted a $1,870 donation from the Friends of the Wareham Council on Aging for a Father's Day breakfast and a separate $50 anonymous gift. Whiteside reported the town's new Ride Circuit shuttle pilot, funded by the Onset Parking Program and Wareham Redevelopment Authority, had already served roughly 200 riders in its first week. A fiscal 2026 transfer discussion was postponed with Town Administrator Derek Sullivan absent.
