Wareham Select Board approves four appointments and two special event permits. The board unanimously appointed William Scott Parr to the Conservation Commission and Carolyn E. McClure as Unenrolled Registrar of Voters, and reappointed James Munise to the Affordable Housing Trust and Michael Mercier to the Conservation Commission.
Chair Sarah Corbitt and Clerk Judith Whiteside were also reappointed to the Wareham Redevelopment Authority with corrected terms expiring June 30, 2027. Special event permits were approved for the PBA July Get Together on July 4 and for Full Throttle for Food, a Damien's Place motorcycle charity ride on October 18. Town Administrator Derek Sullivan reported that the Division of Marine Fisheries has suspended beach-cleaning activities until July 1 due to horseshoe crab population concerns, with Little Harbor Residents Only beach restricted from raking until August 1 because of nesting piping plovers.
