Board of Health votes to fine tobacco violators $1,000 each, approves Title 5 regulations

WAREHAM — Board of Health votes $2,000 in tobacco fines at March meeting. Chairwoman Amy Wiegandt, M.D., and members Patrick Tropeano and David Klenert unanimously fined Onset Village Market $1,000 for selling Blunt Wraps on January 5 and Sullivan's Liquors $1,000 for selling flavored tobacco products on February 27. Sullivan's Assistant Manager Darness Patel attended and acknowledged the violation.
The board also unanimously approved revised Title 5 Regulations with definition changes governing septic system standards, while continuing a variance request for 254 Marion Road pending a revised plan with registered land surveyor certification.
