Wareham Policy Review Sub-Committee approves three district policies without material changes. The School Committee's Policy Review Sub-Committee voted unanimously on January 21 to advance emergency-closings, bullying-prevention, and facilities-use policies to the full School Committee. Superintendent Matthew D'Andrea reported that school principals and nursing staff offered no recommendations for changes to the emergency procedures.
The sub-committee unanimously recommended modifications to the facilities-use policy, including updated hazing-violation language per Massachusetts General Law and addition of McDuffy Educational Center to the rental-rate schedule. All three policy votes passed unanimously.
