Sub-committee backs bullying prevention policy updates

Wareham School Committee's Policy Review Sub-Committee unanimously backs bullying prevention policy updates. Dr. Matthew D'Andrea and Melissa Fay, Director of Student Services, presented updates recommended by Massachusetts Department of Education, mandating staff training on bullying intervention, parent communication requirements, student surveys every four years, and expanded protections for vulnerable students.

Tracie Cote moved approval, seconded by Roger Bonin, with a 9-0 unanimous vote.
