Housing Trust recommends Munise for reappointment, Still for board
Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of May 12, 2026
Wareham Affordable Housing Trust unanimously recommends member reappointment and new board representative. Chair James M. Munise was recommended for reappointment, and Joseph Still was recommended as the Select Board representative to replace Judith Whiteside, who declined to continue.
In related business, the Trust examined town-owned parcels for potential affordable housing development and addressed the status of Article 18 from the Spring 2022 Town Meeting, which directed 50 percent of tax-title property sales proceeds to the Trust. Two recently sold properties generated approximately $80,000, with the Trust's share requiring Commonwealth law clarification. The Trust also voted unanimously to request its Community Preservation Committee Treasurer to bring funding alternatives to the May 27 CPC agenda.
