Wareham Affordable Housing Trust Approves $75,000 Housing Grant

Wareham Affordable Housing Trust advances $75,000 housing production grant. The Trust voted unanimously, 4-0-0, at its July 21 meeting to authorize member Sandra Slavin to submit a Housing Production Plan grant request to the Community Preservation Committee; Clerk Carl Schulz moved the measure and member Joseph Still seconded it. The Trust reported current account balances of $156,000 in affordable housing funds and approximately $56,000 in interest earned last year.
Two active projects are tracked: a 6 Chapel Lane affordable housing lottery advertised with an August 10 deadline and an 801 Main Street development awaiting property owner action.
