Wareham Planning Board clears Water Whiz, storage facility site plans
Planning Board · Meeting of March 23, 2026
Wareham Planning Board advances Water Whiz and Sandwich Road storage site plans, 5-0 each time. The board closed hearings and completed site plan reviews for 30-31 Cranberry Highway LLC's Water Whiz recreation park and Fred Mannix's storage facility at 238-240 Sandwich Road, both by unanimous roll-call votes with Chair Jane Gleason, Clerk Julie Moran, and members Sam Corbitt, Carl Schulz and Mike Baptiste voting. Conditions include fire department sign-off and a DOT-approved signage plan for Water Whiz, and a facade redesign plus written fire access confirmation for the storage project.
"I think it's hard for me as a developer to come in and satisfy a moving target," said property owner Fred Mannix. The board also approved, 5-0, a Form B preliminary subdivision at 20-22 Long Neck Road tied to a Buzzards Bay Coalition conservation deal, and continued a 2 East Boulevard site plan review to April 13.
