Wareham Planning Board backs $1.4 million Haven Court bond restructuring
Planning Board · Meeting of June 8, 2026
Wareham Planning Board backs phased bond plan for stalled Haven Court subdivision, rejects pay-authority hike. The board voted 5-0 to support releasing three Robinwood Road lots from a development covenant in exchange for a new bond, based on engineer Phil Cordero's roughly $1.4 million estimate, to fund the unbuilt Haven Court road. Member Carl Schulz warned "that will not be acceptable to me if we're going to do this in phases," citing a prior subdivision left unfinished.
Separately, the board voted 3-0 against raising Director of Planning Joshua Faherty's bill-signing authority from $5,000 to $25,000, with Schulz, Chair Jane Gleason and Sam Corbitt all citing unclear legal authority. Members also recommended Jessica Parr for the seat vacated by a 36-year member, and continued a remanded solar-project hearing on Route 25 to June 22.
