Sewer board approves lab testing contract; addresses sewage release.

Wareham Sewer Commissioners approve lab testing contract and correct $3.5 million article. The board unanimously approved a one-year R.I. Analytical contract effective July 1, 2026, capped at $50,000 for plant testing.
Chair Jim Giberti and members also unanimously adopted a corrected Town Meeting article allocating $3.5 million specifically for the Narrows Force Main Project after Clerk Sandra Slavin identified the original warrant language as inaccurate. WPCF Director Scott Kraihanzel reported an emergency release of approximately 250 gallons of raw sewage at Point Independence Bridge in Onset and announced plans to replace the vent pipe with a new line to prevent future incidents.
