Select Board reappoints four constables; adopts Purple Heart designation

Wareham Select Board unanimously reappoints four constables and declares Purple Heart Community. Chair Judith Whiteside, Clerk Sarah Corbitt, and member Joseph Still voted unanimously to reappoint Karen Blair, George Morse, Joel Thomas, and Richard Coletti to three-year terms expiring June 30, 2029, and approved licenses for Lunar Lotus Nutrition and Gateway Gold & Pawn. The board recommended favorable action on nearly all articles for the 2026 Spring Annual and Special Town Meetings, passing over budget-transfer and prior-year-bills articles.
Town Administrator Derek Sullivan presented warrant articles covering capital projects and sewer improvements. The board appointed Sharon Rice to Old Colony Elder Services and accepted a twenty-dollar donation to the Council on Aging.
