Wareham Zoning Board approves three special permits while continuing two major applications. Chair Nazih Elkallassi's board unanimously approved special permits for residential additions at 2 Wareham Lake Shores Drive and 13 Seventh Street, and granted a use variance for a doggy daycare and café at 127 Marion Road, conditioning approval on a prohibition against overnight boarding. The board continued the Hidden Trails cluster variance to May 13 after Clerk Jim Eacobacci acknowledged a scrivener's error in the 2006 zoning bylaw that conflicts with the original 2004 cluster design; public opponents argued the applicant created its own hardship.
A Route 25 solar project variance was tabled pending proper public notice, with the chair finding the legal advertisement failed to disclose the project type and correct route number despite separate notification of abutters.
