Wareham Library Unveils July Slate of Concerts, Talks, Book Sale
WAREHAM — The Wareham Free Library launches a busy stretch of summer events this week, while the town continues to enforce outdoor watering restrictions and beach closures amid summer conditions.

The Town of Wareham has outdoor watering restrictions and beach closures currently in effect, according to a notice posted on the town's official website. Residents can find full details through the town's website notices page.
The town is also planning a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for August 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at Municipal Maintenance, 95 Charge Pond Road. A Wareham or Carver transfer station sticker is required for participation.
Separately, the town has launched the Wareham Silver Alert Program, described as a collaborative effort to help locate missing seniors, according to a town announcement. The town also flagged upcoming World Cup-related commuting guidance and noted ADA improvements planned for the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell.
Several town boards have meetings on tap this week, including the Board of Sewer Commissioners, the Onset Fire District Prudential Committee, and the Wareham Fire District Prudential Committee, all scheduled for Thursday, July 9.

The Wareham Free Library has a full slate of programming this week. Tonight, Wednesday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m., the library hosts "Stories of Fenway Park" with Nancy Franks. On Friday, July 10, at 6 p.m., the library holds Laser Tag in the Library, and on Monday, July 13, at 7 p.m., the Concerts on the Lawn series continues with a performance by Sarah Martin.
The library has also shifted to summer hours, closing on Saturdays through Labor Day, according to the library's website.
