Wareham Zoning Board approves two decks, one lit sign

Zoning Board · Meeting of May 27, 2026

Wareham Zoning Board approves two deck rebuilds and a lit Gosnold sign, punts two bigger cases to June. Clerk James Eacobacci chaired in place of Chair Nazih Elkallassi, who joined by Zoom from out of the country. Members unanimously reappointed Connor Alden and Elizabeth Arone as associate members and Richard Semple to a five-year term.

A special permit for a rebuilt rear deck at 79 Parkwood Drive and one for a deck and wheelchair ramp at 23A Bond Street both passed unanimously, as did a permit letting Gosnold install new sign faces at 15 Indian Neck Road, with an added allowance to keep it "internally lit" through all non-daylight hours. A proposed two-family conversion at 9 Union Street was pushed to June 10 for site visits, and the 156-lot Hidden Trails subdivision was continued to June 24 so the full board, including the absent chair, can weigh in.
