School Committee approves new course offerings and accepts grants.

Wareham School Committee backs nine new courses and accepts grants. Chair Geoff Swett led the five-member committee in unanimously approving course additions including American Sign Language, Advanced Chemistry Lab, and a capstone portfolio program for the 2026-27 school year. The board also accepted a Cape Cod Mini Grants package for staff and approved a $1,000 gift from Michael and Julie Vargo for the Unified Sports program.

The 2026-27 calendar was unanimously approved after the Superintendent reported that administration incorporated one union-requested adjustment to the start date. Wareham Elementary received a $250,000 CPPI Grant.
