Wareham posts State Primary Election voting information

WAREHAM — Town officials on Tuesday posted information on the upcoming State Primary Election, giving voters an early look at the process ahead of the fall ballot, while the library and downtown summer schedule kept residents busy heading into the last days of July.

TOWN HALL

The town's News Flash feed on Tuesday afternoon published State Primary Election information, directing residents to details on voting procedures for the upcoming state primary. The Wareham town website also continues to highlight the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day scheduled for August 1 at Municipal Maintenance on Charge Pond Road, running from 9 a.m. to noon and requiring a Wareham or Carver Transfer Station sticker.

The town's homepage also continues to note ADA improvements underway at the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell, part of ongoing accessibility upgrades to town facilities.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Wareham Free Library hosted "Wareham In 1776," a talk with the Wareham Historical Society, Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m., part of the library's slate of local history programming tied to the nation's semiquincentennial. The library's Concerts on the Lawn series featured the Unlikely Strummers on Monday, July 27 at 7 p.m.

Looking ahead, the library has scheduled "Joys of Nature: Amazing Animals – Surviving Life in the Wild" for Wednesday, August 5, with sessions at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., and "Wicked Good Henna and Spa Fun" for teens and tweens on Friday, August 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Downtown, the town's calendar lists the Wareham Gatemen hosting home games this week, including a matchup against Cotuit, alongside the 18th Annual Onset Summer of Love Music Series and a Wareham Celebrates the Nation's 250th event, both slated for Wednesday, July 29.
