Finance Committee approves school, capital, and sewer articles for spring warrant.

Wareham Finance Committee votes to recommend spring warrant articles including FY2027 schools and capital budgets. Superintendent Matt D'Andrea outlined a revised school budget with a $1.2 million remaining deficit after cutting approximately 20 positions, removing technology upgrades, and increasing preschool tuition. Town Administrator Derek Sullivan proposed spending $2.8 million in Free Cash for capital items, including the Fearing Hill Bridge project, police equipment, and network upgrades.

The committee also advanced a $26 million sewer infrastructure project with $4 million in retained earnings transfers.
