Wareham Finance Committee spent February 12 reviewing departmental budgets for fiscal year 2027. Chair Joseph Smith presided as the committee met with eighteen department heads and Town Administrator Derek Sullivan to examine spending requests for Water Pollution Control Facility, Emergency Medical Services, Planning and Community Development, and Police, among others. Six members attended in person; Gerald Stefanski participated remotely.
Smith announced a future discussion on bill-payment procedures and a possible pre-Town Meeting session, while Dominic Cammarano agreed to arrange a Finance Committee tour of Upper Cape Regional Technical High School.
