Wareham Launches Silver Alert Program Amid Ongoing Water Restrictions

WAREHAM — Outdoor watering restrictions remain active across Wareham as summer demand continues to strain the town's water supply, while officials tout a newly launched Silver Alert program designed to help locate missing seniors.

TOWN HALL

The Town of Wareham continues to enforce outdoor watering restrictions, with updated beach information also posted on the town website, as officials manage summer water demand. Residents can find current details on the town's alert page.

Town officials have launched the Wareham Silver Alert Program, described as a collaborative effort to help locate missing seniors. The initiative marks a new public safety tool for the town, joining existing emergency notification systems available through Alert Wareham.

Separately, the town flagged ADA improvements underway at the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell, part of ongoing efforts to make the popular Onset venue more accessible ahead of its busy summer concert and festival schedule. The town's Inspections Office also continues to operate on temporary hours, and residents were reminded that DOXO, an online bill-pay platform, is not affiliated with the Town of Wareham.
