Planning Board · Meeting of October 19, 2026
Wareham Planning Board rewrote a reforestation condition on the remanded Fearing Hill Road solar permit and cut a planting-monitoring period from 10 years to three. Under a court remand, the board accepted most of the applicant's attorney's edits and, in a 4-0 vote with one abstention, authorized Town Planner Josh Faraday to send the changed decision to the applicant. Clerk Julie Moran said the applicant should not just say "trust us" on reforestation.
A new sentence will have plant species chosen at decommissioning for non-invasive qualities and fit with climate at the time. Members plan to finish the matter Nov. 9. The board also told native-nursery applicants a use variance is likely for a 10.39-acre Charge Pond Road lot.
