WAREHAM — Finance Committee reviews more than $1.3M in Fall Town Meeting articles. The Wareham Finance Committee on Monday heard presentations from multiple departments on proposed expenditures, including a $1 million conservation project to purchase 350 acres of bog land for restoration by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and a $75,000 appropriation to update the town's Housing Production Plan, required by state law. The school department reported $80,827 in McKinney-Vento reimbursements for homeless student transportation and $56,740.82 from emergency shelter transportation funds.
Harbormaster Gary Buckminster requested $105,635 for harbor services funding. Several articles were deferred to future meetings.
