Zoning Board approves shed variance, home business permit, and Schoolhouse Rocks site plan

Wareham Zoning Board unanimously approves three applications and upholds a subdivision restriction. Acting Chair Jim Eacobacci, Chair Nazih Elkallassi, and members Richard Semple, Chris Conti, Troy Larson, and Connor Alden voted 5-0 to grant a variance for a 120-square-foot shed at 62 Barlow Avenue and a special permit for a home-based demolition service at 51 Standish Avenue, limited to one business vehicle up to one ton with no trailers. The board also approved the revised Schoolhouse Rocks site plan for 1073 Main Street, subject to required approvals from health and conservation agencies.
The board upheld the commissioner's denial of a development appeal on Candle Paper Lane, finding that subdivision restrictions protecting a parcel as permanent landscaped green space remain valid and enforceable by the Planning Board. Town Engineer Phil Cordeiro confirmed all prior peer review comments on the site plan had been satisfied.
