Zoning Board approves plan changes for 17 Atlantic Avenue project.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of March 25, 2026
Wareham Zoning Board of Appeals continues two major variance hearings to April. Chair Nazih Elkallassi, Clerk Jim Eacobacci, and Members Richard Semple and Troy Larson unanimously approved prior minutes and continued the 17 Atlantic Avenue special permit and variance to April 22, 2026, after applicants Jason Hirer and Joe Fournier presented a redesigned project reducing floor area ratio to 17.8 percent with egress stairs meeting FEMA flood-zone requirements. The 41 Bay Street hearing continued to April 8 following plan clarification requests.
In new business, Attorney Delisi and applicant Kevin Walsh discussed exercising a previously granted contractor-bay use variance at 2731 Cranberry Highway; the board asked the applicant to return in two weeks pending Building Commissioner consultation over conflicting plan submissions.
