Sewer Commissioners discuss contracts, public outreach, and force main project.

Sewer Commissioner · Meeting of February 12, 2026

Wareham Sewer Commissioners discuss contract protocols and public outreach. Vice Chair Robert Scanlon reported arranging a Town Counsel meeting to clarify the Board's contract-review responsibilities, tabling further discussion pending legal guidance. The Board heard a presentation from communications consultant Joe Manning on public relations strategy for sewer projects headed to Town Meeting, discussing retainer terms to support outreach through three Town Meetings.

WPCF Director Scott Kraihanzel's team expects a formal Department of Transportation letter on borings by February 23 for the Narrows Force Main Project, with draft plans to be reviewed February 20. Scanlon continues developing an alternative EDU proposal to improve billing equity and database accuracy.
