Sewer Commission approves bill adjustment for Great Hill Estates.
Sewer Commissioner · Meeting of January 8, 2026
Wareham Sewer Commission approves billing adjustment for Great Hill Estates based on actual connected units. The Board voted 4–1 to charge the February bill for 134 connected sewer units rather than 157, correcting an overcharge spanning three years; Dr. Scott Soby opposed.
Kevin Klien, representing the new owners, noted that of 222 trailer sites, only 134 are connected to sewer while 89 remain on septic, and outlined a four-phase program to connect remaining units over two to three years with Phases I and II going to bid imminently. The Board directed the Sewer Department to send an official letter to property owners and scheduled a special meeting for January 16, 2026, to address Town Meeting warrant articles and sewer billing matters.
