Sewer board approves six contract amendments and endorses $3.5 million warrant article

WAREHAM — Sewer Commissioners approve nine contracts and endorse $3.5 million warrant article. The board voted unanimously to amend six existing contracts including agreements with Borden & Remington Corp. for chemicals, Ferguson Waterworks for $73,378.41, and two South Shore Generator Service, Inc. contracts for emergency repairs and preventative maintenance totaling $19,990. Chair Jim Giberti reported that new clarifiers at the wastewater facility will go online in July, and the Narrows Pump Station Improvement Project engineering is being fast-tracked for bidding following Board endorsement of the $3.5 million warrant article using retained Enterprise Fund earnings.
