Sewer board approves Mission Communications and Waterline contracts.

WAREHAM — Sewer commissioners vote unanimously on two major contracts. The Wareham Board of Sewer Commissioners on March 12 approved a $21,481.00 agreement with Mission Communications, LLC for alarm monitoring at lift stations and the Water Pollution Control Facility through March 31, 2027, and unanimously backed Change Order #4 from Waterline in the amount of $186,865.81 for alkalinity building work, electrical upgrades, and roofing at the facility. Chair Jim Giberti reported construction activity remains strong as the project shifts toward start-up conditioning.
Water Pollution Control Facility Director Scott Kraihanzel updated the board that the facility is operating well despite recent blizzard damage, including loss of a generator and a truck, and reported that the DEP permitting process for a Class A compost facility is under way.
