Sewer Board accepts May minutes, reviews waterline progress

WAREHAM — The Board of Sewer Commissioners unanimously approved May 28 meeting minutes and reviewed waterline construction progress. Robert Scanlon reported that the project remains on schedule, with vehicle building guardrails installed, grinder pump building complete, and work continuing at the headworks, alkalinity, and clarifier buildings. The Board discussed EDU billing changes for residential accounts, with modifications expected in the next billing cycle to improve equity.
Director Scott Kraihanzel noted the wastewater plant is currently struggling with settling as the new headworks comes online, though discharge water remains within permit limits. The project is expected to complete in 2027.
