Historical Commission voted to allow demolition of 30 Barnes Street home.

Historical Commission · Meeting of June 3, 2026

WAREHAM — Historical Commission voted to allow demolition of 30 Barnes Street home. The Wareham Historical Commission voted unanimously on June 3 to allow demolition of a single-family home at 30 Barnes Street owned by Anthony J and Kara Petrucci, finding it had no historic value and structural defects including an unstable foundation and lean. The structure is uninsulated and unsuitable for renovation.

The board also unanimously approved a $200 budget for a veteran's cemetery reference book and banner for the town's 250th anniversary celebration. Angela Dunham chairs the commission.
