Historic District Commission approves minutes, schedules Main Street hearing.

Historic District Commission · Meeting of April 7, 2026

WAREHAM — The Wareham Historic District Commission approved prior minutes and scheduled a public hearing for May 5 to review proposed alterations at 59 Main Street. Chair Bob Blair and the four-member board heard from Danny Warren, property owner, who presented plans for a nautical-themed wrought-iron fence with ship and shellfish designs, an Oyster Bar expansion, two-level waterfront deck, and seasonal canopies. Stone ramp siding is complete and an ice cream shop with bar is nearing completion.

The commission deferred review of the Besse Park Gazebo pending the owner's architect hire.
