Wareham Council on Aging board defers January minutes, invites outside review. Chair David McClure and six board members postponed approval of the January 8 meeting minutes due to formatting errors and also held off voting on an AARP Age Friendly Community membership proposal. Board member Elizabeth Lindquist presented information about the network benefits, but Chair McClure questioned the direct advantage to the COA, prompting the board to invite Alan Slavin to address the question at a future meeting.
The board also clarified open meeting law rules with residents, confirmed that board members receive required training, and voted unanimously to relocate citizen participation to the start of future meetings beginning in March.
