WAREHAM — Council on Aging approves prior minutes, pursues Age Friendly renewal. The board unanimously approved its January 8 meeting minutes and postponed February minutes pending edits. Director Sharon Rice reported sold-out St.
Patrick's Day and Valentine's luncheons and noted that the AARP Free Tax Program is now booking appointments. Guest Alan Slavin urged the board to pursue Wareham's formal AARP Age Friendly Community designation; Chair David McClure, board members Judith Jinson-Riggle and Bob Short agreed to meet with Slavin and New Bedford's Council on Aging to explore eligibility and available resources.
