WAREHAM — Alternative Energy Committee considers dissolving formal town status. Chair Denise Wolk proposed shifting the committee to an informal citizen group, citing expanded state and federal alternative energy initiatives that have narrowed local impact, and signaled she would step down if the committee remains formal. Members Linda Burke, Michael Pol, Dennis Wilson, and Sherry Quirk agreed to reconvene February 24 to decide the question.
The committee voted unanimously to have Wolk contact Town Administrator Derek Sullivan about a heat pump discount press release and tabled a resident solar workshop until the next meeting.
