Capital Planning Committee allocates $2.8M in free cash to capital projects

WAREHAM — Capital Planning Committee approves $2.8M allocation from free cash to fiscal 2026 projects. The committee unanimously voted to allocate $2,824,000 in free cash toward capital improvements, including $785,000 for Information Technology systems refresh and cybersecurity upgrades, $425,000 for police body cameras and vehicles, $1,535,000 for the Fearing Hill Bridge and municipal equipment, and $100,000 for high school exterior door replacements at Wareham Public Schools. An additional $1.5 million was directed to the capital stabilization fund.

All unfunded capital projects will be carried forward to fiscal 2027.
