WAREHAM — Board of Health approves dual septic variance requests for two Wareham properties. Chairwoman Amy Wiegandt, M.D., and members Patrick Tropeano and David Klenert voted unanimously to grant 10-foot setback variances for the septic tank, pump chamber, and leaching facility at 2683 Cranberry Highway under engineer Bradley Bertolo's proposal. At 17 Atlantic Avenue, the board unanimously approved four conditional waivers presented by engineer Zachary L.
Basinski, including mandatory relocation and burial of the septic blower and vents with charcoal filters, along with setback variances from Atlantic Avenue and a Coastal Bank, contingent on a two-bedroom deed restriction and operations and maintenance contract. Director Patrick MacDonald reported post-holiday spikes in flu, RSV, and COVID cases.
