Board approves December minutes; plans library's 35th-anniversary celebration.

Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of January 13, 2026

Wareham library trustees approved December minutes and launched planning for the library's 35th anniversary. Library Director Patrick Marshall reported December attendance exceeding 500 at Onset Christmas in the Village and over 200 at a noon New Year's Eve event. Trustees Jared Frederickson and Select Board liaison Sarah Corbit accepted co-chair roles for a three-part anniversary celebration spanning May, including a single event on May 6, month-long programming, and ongoing activities such as historical tours and a potential time capsule.

The library received a Massachusetts broadband grant; equipment including new laptops and tablets will arrive in spring.
